The Facsimile font was designed by J. Luigs and S. Wicker. Facsimile's forms were constructed for electronic readers, just like OCR fonts. Its familiar forms and symbols personify the zeitgeist of the late 20th century.

Facsimile is part of the Take Type Library, which features the winners of Linotype's International Digital Type Design Contests.
